Reiki is a centuries-old Japanese healing technique known for promoting deep relaxation, reducing stress, and supporting pain relief. This gentle, non-invasive practice works not only to ease symptoms but also to address imbalances at their root—fostering healing on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.
During a Reiki session at Hope and Wellness, a trained practitioner uses light, therapeutic touch in a calming environment, often accompanied by soothing music, to help restore the body’s natural energy flow. While Reiki is not a substitute for medical care, it complements conventional treatments beautifully, enhancing overall well-being and supporting recovery.
Clients often report feeling more centered, peaceful, and revitalized after a session. Reiki may help relieve symptoms related to stress, anxiety, chronic pain, inflammation, recovery from surgery, and more—offering a safe and effective pathway to holistic healing.
A typical Reiki session lasts between 60 to 90 minutes and is designed to create a deeply relaxing and restorative experience. You’ll remain fully clothed and rest comfortably on a massage table in a peaceful, quiet setting.
Your Reiki practitioner will gently move through a series of specific hand positions, either lightly touching or hovering just above the body. Unlike massage therapy, there is no muscle manipulation—Reiki focuses on the flow of energy rather than physical pressure.
Many clients experience a profound sense of calm, inner peace, and deep relaxation during and after the session. While the most immediate effects are often a soothing release of stress and an enhanced feeling of overall well-being, the benefits of Reiki can be far-reaching and continue to unfold well beyond the session.

My health journey started as a teenager, when I found myself allergic to all different types of fragrance. I began exploring more natural skin care and laundry products, which opened the door to all sorts of natural and alternative healing modalities.
I have practiced yoga and used essential oils for nearly 30 years, and over the past three years have sought and obtained training in a few other natural healing techniques.
In 2022, I finished my Usui Holy Fire III World Peace Reiki Master Teacher training and have been practicing self-Reiki since I obtained my Level 1 & 2 Reiki training in 2021. I also practice with my friends and family, and opened my own business in February 2023, offering Reiki healing sessions to clients both virtually and in-person.
In 2023, I added meditation teaching, mindfulness practice, as well as a certification in Chakra and Crystal Healing to my practice. Currently, I am working on Sacred Ceremonies certification so I can offer Moon rituals, Cacao Ceremonies, and several other opportunities for Sacred connection.
